I decided to go a bit further and try to do a portrait myself, again, loosely based on Markus Schinwald using the mask. I chose this photo to copy from, as it reminded me of Sidney Nolan's work, slightly more detailed however as some of Nolan's are figures with masks made with bold block colour, but I felt this angle was the best way to link it to Nolan's work as the subjects in his works are directed straight to the viewer. I also feel this idea of using masks is an obvious thing to do, but still quite interesting, so I want to see how I can develop it further.
