Damien Hirst and Marc Quinn

I have been writing an essay for one of my modules for the course and I've particularly been concentrating on works by Damien Hirst and Marc Quinn, particularly Hirst's 'For The Love Of God' (2007) and Quinn's 'Self' (1991-)and I from these two pieces, I have realised that using a full head is a lot more powerful and striking than using just a mask. These two pieces are perhaps more well known for the material they are made out of (blood and diamonds) but there is a sense of dominance from their presence which I want to show in my final sculpture.
